Sometimes it's hard to name what's missing
A day where everything is normal. Nothing is necessarily wrong. And then it’s a moment in the car, after a really good weekend, or in those few quiet minutes before you fall asleep—you feel it.
You feel restless. Disconnected. Burnt out. Unsure of where you belong or what you’re doing with your life. You have questions about relationships, purpose, meaning, or who you’re becoming. You can’t shake it. You just have this sense that there should be more.
Follow that.
Your life can look full and still leave you wondering what all of it is adding up to. Beneath the routines, plans, experiences, and distractions, you might be looking for something that makes your life feel meaningful.
Dating, situationships, breakups, commitment, and figuring out what you actually want from another person can get complicated. Maybe there’s more to love than finding someone who makes you happy or simply avoiding being alone.
Work can be a good thing but it can also leave you feeling unfulfilled. You can work hard, chase the next opportunity, and still wonder whether your job is really all there is to define you. Maybe your worth and purpose were never meant to fit inside a job title.
Maybe you grew up believing in God, maybe you’re questioning everything you were taught, or maybe you’ve never made God a part of your life. There might be more to faith than expectations, or the version of God you’ve encountered before.
Other people are wondering too
Six people wrote down the thing they had been carrying. You are not alone with your questions.
You can be surrounded by people and still wonder where you actually belong. Adult friendships can be surprisingly hard, especially when everyone seems busy, scattered, or staring at a screen. Maybe there’s more than having people to hang out with—maybe you need people who really know you.
There’s probably a version of yourself you’re working toward, even if you can’t completely describe who that person is yet. Growth isn’t about having everything figured out; it’s about becoming more fully yourself along the way.
The people you grew up with are also the people who helped shape who you are. Some of us are trying to build something even better than where we came from, figuring it out without a blueprint. Through grace we can honor our past while making our own choices for the future.
Bills, budgets, rent, insurance, debt, saving for the future—somehow you’re expected to know how to manage all of it while still figuring out your life. Maybe becoming an adult isn’t about having everything together, but learning how to build a life that reflects what actually matters to you.
Some losses change your life in ways that people might not see. Moving forward doesn’t always mean you’ve fully moved on. You might find that the grief lasts longer than expected and becomes part of everyday life. Faith won’t make the pain go away, but it can remind you that you’re not alone and that there’s hope for new beginnings.
Some burdens are easy to see, while others feel so familiar that you don’t even notice them anymore. Some wounds can’t be healed by time or trying harder. You might hide your pain for years, but real healing starts when you share it and stop keeping it a secret.
Anything above resonate with you? If something struck a cord, we have people who want to hear from you. You are not alone. Your questions have answers.
